Deanna Participates in Yale University's 1st Cannabis Conference

clarkespositolaw

Over 300 people attended Yale University’s first ever ‘Business of Legal Cannabis Conference’ and I had the pleasure of participating on the ‘Legalization and Regulation’ panel. Joined by Todd Mitchum (TMC Partners), John Hudak (The Brookings Institution), Lauren Rudick (Hiller, PC) and Shanel Lindsay (Ardent Cannabis), we addressed the state and federal legal and policy matters, social justice issues, and the overlap between the vape and cannabis industries with respect to FDA oversight and global business dimensions.

The conference overall provided an overview of the cannabis legal landscape, and several different sessions, including:

- Women in cannabis

- Venture capital and private equity

- Healthcare and wellness

- Diversity and racial equity

- Sustainability and innovation in cultivation

- Branding and marketing

- Careers in cannabis

- The science of cannabis
